Small craft advisory has been cancelled.
ORIGINAL POST
The National Weather Service this morning issued a small craft advisory, which remains in effect until 6 p.m. this evening.
The advisory includes Mā‘alaea Bay, Pailolo channel, Alenuihaha channel and Hawai‘i Island’s leeward and southeast waters.
Northeast winds are at 25 knots; rough seas are up to 12 feet.
A small craft advisory indicates inexperienced mariners—especially those operating smaller vessels—should a void navigating in these hazardous conditions.
