The Eddie Aikau Restaurant and Surf Museum had their grand opening at the Kings Shops in Waikoloa Village tonight.
There were festivities throughout the day culminating in “The Ugliest Surf Board Contest”.
At six o’clock the doors opened and family and friends of Eddie Aikau filed into the restaurant.
Inside the restaurant the staff served pupus to those in attendance.
The Aikau family posed for pictures and then as room accommodated more folks were allowed into the place.
The museum part of the restaurant is pretty cool and it’s like a little flashback in time.
The place got so full of people… that I ended up leaving since I wanted to go back to my hotel room. Feel free to click on the pictures below for a larger view.
